Introduction

National SME Manufacturing Mission aims to catalyze the growth of the manufacturing sectors in India. The Mission focuses on creating an environment conducive to industrial growth, innovation, and enhanced productivity through a mix of policy reforms, financial incentives, and infrastructural development. As SME manufacturing remains a key contributor to economic growth and employment in India, this mission aligns with the Government’s broader vision of making India a global manufacturing hub and also implement the policy frame work, incentives, benefits, schemes and other advantages objected by the Mission.

SME Chamber of India has taken the lead to set up National SME Manufacturing Mission with the main objective of the mission is to accomplish the vision and dream projects of Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi to make India as a manufacturing hub of the world, enhance industrialization in Tier 2 & Tier 3 cities, preparing SMEs & manufacturing industries for global competitiveness, largest economy in the world, enhance exports upto 60% and march towards ‘Viksit Bharat’.

This Mission also aims to be a transformative initiative that will overhaul India’s industrial sector, making it a global leader in manufacturing. With a focus on innovation, skill development, infrastructure and sustainability, this Mission holds the potential to not only propel India’s manufacturing sector, but also lead to an inclusive and diversified sustained economic & industrial growth model that benefits the entire nation. The mission will integrate the SMEs & mid corporates from manufacturing and allied sectors to establish alliances with the Indian & foreign enterprises for contract manufacturing, technology transfers and joint ventures as a part of GLOBAL CAPABILITY CENTERS (GCC) for quality productivity for global markets as well as channelise finance & investment to enhance the business activities.

AI and machine learning will continue to evolve, with machines becoming more intuitive, emotional, and empathetic. These technologies will enable deeper collaboration between humans and machines, creating seamless interactions that combine human decision-making with machine precision and analysis.

Advanced Robotics

Robotics will evolve to work alongside humans, not just in manufacturing environments but also in service sectors like healthcare, education, and hospitality. These robots will be designed to be more adaptive, learning from their interactions with humans and their environments.

To reduce dependency on imports by enhancing the competitiveness and capabilities of domestic manufacturers, suppliers, especially in sectors like electronics, defense, engineering, packaging, electricals, automotive, pharmaceuticals and healthcare.

Industrialization in various parts of India

To provide ready-made and plug & play industrial premises / units to set up or expand industrial manufacturing activities in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, set up industrial parks, zones and units in various clusters, set up research, development, testing and innovative centers for improvement of productivity, skilling & scaling of skilled man power, integrate start-ups, SMEs, corporates & MNCs for industrial supply chain.
